CsV Breeder

The Czechoslovakian Vlcak (CSV) is a rare breed descending from Europe (former Czechoslovakia) that has been around since the 1950's.  During the upcoming of the breed Carpathian wolf blood was mixed with German Shepherd.  The breed was created for the military, to have higher stamina, and travel longer distances in shorter times with quick rejuvenation of their strength for a better performance.  Most importantly the CSV was created with military precision by well renouned breeders that bred one on the worlds best working German Shepherd dogs.  All the negative qualities of the wolf where eliminated from the breeding stock so only the finest of dogs with good qualities would reproduce.  For example shyness is a wolf trait, CSV's are not shy, and if there is shyness present they are disqualified. 

Simply mixing dog with wolf, you never know what your getting!  Is it going to be more wolf or dog? That's not smart.  The Carpathian wolf is a different from the North American Wolf (which is used in American Wolf dog hybrids), it is much smaller and less shy.  Shyness in a dog can lead to fear aggression therefore it's seen as a negative trait.

So if want to responsibly own a so called "wolf" then owning a CVS is a close as you can get (or Sarloos Wolfhound).  Vlcak dogs are well behaved, trainable,  and can make very good family dogs they just require solid training. Do you enjoy actively spending your life, do you like to spend time with your dog outdoors?  Are you looking for your next challenge? Do you like working with your dog to complete tasks?  If you answered yes then the Czechoslovakian Vlcak maybe for you.

Adopting any dog is a commitment for the dogs entire life.  Are you ready for a puppy?. Puppies require attention especially Vlcak puppies, CSV's can be hard headed. Before they reach maturity Vlcak's are like teenagers have their ups and downs, you have to be persistent in your training. They will take any opportunity to try and outwit you, you have to be two steps ahead of them. Due to their high intelligence they are always looking for a break in your attention. They are of good nature, definitely not aggressive towards people, although some Vlcak's might have issues with same sex dogs.  Of course everything depends on how you train your dog.   If you feel that you need help with training feel free to contact us.
